Ingredients for 4 people:
- vermicelli pasta: 400 g
- breadcrumbs: 150 g
- 4 anchovies
- 2 garlic cloves
- oil, salt to taste.
- Chillies optional
In a frying pan toast the breadcrumbs;
when they are crispy enough, remove them from the pan and set them aside. In the same pan put the oil and the garlic, let it just heat up and add the anchovies, already cleaned and boned, with a fork crush the anchovy fillets until they become mush. Cook the vermicelli, pour them into the pan with the anchovy sauce, mix well and then add the toasted bread and freshly ground black pepper; mix again, keeping the pan on the heat; when the vermicelli are well impregnated with the sauce and toasted bread, serve.
