Pecorino del Monte Poro - PDO
from the famous Calabrian plateau that boasts lush waterways and fresh forage nearly 12 months of the year, at an elevation of about 700 meters above sea level there are extensive and unspoiled pastures. Right here the sheep and their shepherds produce fresh milk of the highest quality, with the typical scents of the local forage and a PDO pecorino cheese made using the same traditional cheese-making art that is now thousands of years old.
the cheese is aged about 60 days on wooden boards according to PDO specifications.
