A fortified wine, Vecchio Florio is by far the world's best-known true Marsala Superiore, born in the centuries-old cellars and only from Grillo and Catarratto grapes from the estate's own vineyards grown in the Marsala DOC area. Aged for a full 30 months in oak barrels, and the skilled art of winemaking that the winery has handed down since 1833. An excellent dessert wine, it pairs well with dry pastries, almond brittle or aged cheeses.
