Washington Yellow Oranges
The variety Washington Navel is also known by the name of "Brazilian", as this orange cultivar comes from Bahia, Brazil. Washington oranges are large in size and have a shape spherical, slightly elliptical or ovoid shape; they ripen from the middle of December until March. The oranges Washington Navel are distinguished from their "cousins Navelina by their larger size; their peel of medium thickness, intense orange color and medium-fine grain, and the juice content is high. The pulp is crunchy and has a pleasant flavour, not too acidic, with an intense orange colour that varies according to the degree of ripeness.
