Greco di Bianco DOC Wine

passito-greco-bianco

A very particular autochthonous vine which takes its name from the territory of the Municipality of Bianco, located in the province of Reggio Calabria, where it has always been growing and flourishing. The geographical area where it grows is facing the Ionian sea south from Reggio Calabria, in this area the beneficial influence of the sea and the fresh air coming from the Aspromonte mountain which dominates the land characterizes in an unmistakable way the aromas, scents and sensations on the palate that can be found in the wines produced here. Part of the Greco grapes are left to dry in the August sun on the vines, subsequently harvested and laid to dry in the sun of Calabria. From subsequent processing and passages in steel tanks, sometimes in wooden barriques and subsequently in bottles, is produced the fine Greco di Bianco DOC passito wine.
